Galangal - Mount Hawthorn

I had heard nice things about galangal, and after visiting some other farms in mount hawthorn, decided to try it. mount hawthorn is a beautiful vault with many good restaurants, and some bars, but without the hectic of leederville and mount lawley. there are many side streets for parking and even some rooms right in front of galangal.

Eating here is absolutely amazing! this place serves some of the best Thai food in perth. would recommend to come here for a special occasion.

Last night for dinner. Previously an amazing restaurant, but obviously new owners. everything was terrible. the waitresses who carry tracksuits, the sticky decorations, wrong escape to us, and when it just tasted, reheated greasy, we had to wait old for wine glasses, bark rendang was less than averaged and padthai was terrible, refurbished and sticky. the man who walks around the waiting seemed vague and unfriendly and even gave us a bowl of used chilisoße from another table that we thought was strange. as disappointing as this was a so amazing restaurant.

Great food. comfortable friendly service. recommended

The mixed entrees were a mixed bag delicious fish cakes and curry puffs but average spring rolls and money bags. The chicken pad Thai was dry and lacking flavour. Very disappointing after such good reviews. Not worth the premium price.
