Big Mike's Steakhouse - Moundville

My first time eating at BIG Mike's steakhouse, for my 29th Wedding Anniversary. The food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. I will be back for seconds.

Best, BEST steak! I have ordered the sirloin twice and I swear it's as tender and delicious as a filet mignon. Great service! Simple, laid back atmosphere. The wait is always a lot shorter than quoted.

I have been here several times and this was by far the worst experience. We ordered Bienville oysters. They added cheddar cheese to the top bc they originally only made them charbroiled and then attempted to make me believe it was Parmesan. I was told to add a Caesar salad to my entree it would be $3.50 but a regular house salad would be no cost. This sounded absurd to me and sounded like just a reason to upcharge. Ordered the ribeye medium well and It was still mooing when it got to the table. I asked to speak to the manager and without even coming over he discounted the oysters. As a paying customer I felt undervalued as well as dismissed. We weren’t asking for a discount but more so of bring knowledge that our experience was less than expected. To pay $200 for a meal and leave hungry is mind blowing. Not sure what has happened over the past year but their customer service and more importantly food has declined tremendously. Not only will I never be back but I also will never recommend them to anyone else.

Their ribeye is grilled over wood and is excellent. Their salad, French dressing and baked potatoes are all delicious. Highly recommend.
