Returning to central NJ as a vegan can be a challenge, especially for a warm and fuzzy brunch experience. Morristown Pancake House popped up and we were instantly impressed by how many clearly labeled vegan options they listed on their menu. Not only pancakes, waffles, and French toast, but vegan options for nachos, quesadillas, chili, and breakfast skillets. We ordered the cream cheese stuffed French toast with strawberries and chocolate chips and the nachos, all vegan. Along with a side of vegan sausages. First off, our waiter Tony was accommodating and knowledgeable, and went as far as to assure us that their vegan food is cooked separately. Much appreciated. The food? I'm trying not to gush too hard but I can honestly say that we had one of the best brunch experiences as vegans we have ever had. I am still fantasizing about my next visit. We might have to make a tradition out of Morristown Pancake House.
Challah french toast was awesome. Also loved the home fries. But the corned beef hash wasn't great (kinda soggy) and our service was spotty. Took at least 5 minutes for our server to come take drink orders. When he came back with our drinks, he walked away without taking our order... then he disappeared, so another 10 minutes passed before even placing our order. Had to flag down another guy for coffee refills. Luckily the food came out quickly, but was delivered by someone else, and we never heard from anyone again.
Good food for a fair price. Ideal for a hangout or brunch in Morristown. The pancakes were really good. Unlimited refills on coffee and tea. Bacon was well cooked in my opinion as it was crunchy on the edges but still not fully dry. Normally is pretty busy (good sign for any restaurant) so be really to wait for a bit.
My favorite breakfast and lunch spot. I've brought all my friends and family, never a bad meal. Prices are reasonable, and they have amazing vegan options!! I can't understand the bad reviews. I eat here at least once a week and never have been disappointed.
