Friendly's - Morristown

We placed our order using the app, and it was prepared exactly as requested and ready right on time. The ordering process was simple, and we were able to skip the line thanks to a designated window for pick-up orders. Although the staff was quite busy, they were organized and friendly. I highly recommend using the app to place your order.

A true blast from the past. Hamburgs and Fribbles with a scoop of chocolate mint in a metal parfait goblet to complete the trifecta. I wouldn 't exactly call it fast food as time seems to bend in the kitchen towards eternity but the downshift is not unpleasant... kind of like visiting a long lost childhood friend. How this place survives in a culture of ADHD, Doordash and 3D printed Mac Cheese is anyone 's guess but I 'm sure glad it does. Five easy stars.

Happy we came for the old time nostalgia but it really was a sub par experience. Thats completely fine so long as you're prepared for what you're walking into, which i wasn't. First of all the menu is all kinds of concoctions of the same foods mixed together in different ways. It definitely was not healthy. And that's ok. But the service wasn't great. Maybe they were short staffed. Maybe they weren't experienced servers. But it took a long time to place our orders sacs when the did came a while dish was missing. Since the severe didn't come back to check on us until our meals were finished and there was no one else around to ask we just went without the meal. Then we asked for boxes to bring a few leftovers home and the waitress took my plate away and threw away my food. They were kind enough to get me a new batch of fries to bring home but it prolonged the whole process. Maybe we'd come back for the express checkout ice cream at the front door but I don't think we'll be back to the restaurant anytime soon.

I had a typical experience at Friendly's for Father's Day with several young children, so I appreciate the waitress for her patience and understanding, especially since she forgot a few items during our meal. They handled our large group without any problems. I was pleasantly surprised by their summer menu, which features a few lobster dishes. While the lobster/shrimp quesadilla wasn't outstanding, it was decent for what it was. The lobster roll was also just okay, but it offered a nice change from the usual offerings at Friendly's.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid, and it's truly fantastic. The food is excellent, too. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends without breaking the bank.
