La Porchetta - Moreland

Went on Anzac day for dinner. Food is always quite a average but this was the last straw. Gnocchi with mushroom sauce. It was very bland and tasteless! I had to ask for Parmesan cheese and put a whole heap of salt to get some sort of flavour. My husband ordered a Parma. It took 20 minutes for it to come out which was ridiculous especially since there was only 2 other families there and they already had their meals. The chips were a dark orange/Brown colour. You could tell right away they had been there for a while and just been reheated. It tasted disgusting and was cold! When my husband called to waiter to let the chef know that the chips were cold and that he didn't want to wait for fresh ones as we had a movie to get to the waiter told the chef. The chef did not come out to apologies or send his apologies or even attempt to make fresh chips asap or even give a discount! They acknowledged nothing! This is the first time we have come across such unprofessional inattentive staff! We paid $23 for a peice of snitzel with some sauce and cheese on it! What a rip off! On top of it bland gnocchi! Done with la porchetta will not be returning again!

Desert was pretty average the chocolate mouse tasted more like instant pudding, very ordinary. Ordered deserts and coffee's asked for water to come before the coffee, had to ask after being served again for the water. The iced coffee lacked any real flavour, can only hope their pizza's and meals are better than desert's and coffee. Overpriced for what it was, others with me ordered and enjoyed the Tiramisu so maybe that was a better choice.

WE BEEN THERE 3 or 4 times, Value for money it's good , but we stoped going simply cause they opened one near us,

La Porchetta is in my neighbourhood and is well known for a cheap dinner (so much so that the chain spread from this store of humble beginnings).
