Jarro’s Cafe - Moorpark

Wow, this place exceeded our expectations. We wanted to find a place that would serve breakfast a little later, then mini cafés offer. They're open daily from 8 to 3, so this fit the bill. Speaking of the bill I gotta tell you it wasn't so bad good prices and amazing portions plus the presentation was extraordinary. Hubby had the amazing French toast I ordered the Chili Verde omelette . We were eyeing each other's meal, so we ended up splitting both- We will be back to try everything else that looked delicious on the menu as well

The cafe de olla here is absolutely delicious! I tried the Chile verde omelette, and it was pretty good. The tater tots were surprisingly amazing—maybe it’s because they’re so crispy. However, the real highlight of the meal is definitely the cafe de olla. Even though I don’t live in the area, I’ll certainly make the trip back just for this!

I've been visiting Jarro's for quite some time and had never tried the Chilaquiles Asada Burrito before. It's definitely one of their best breakfast items, and now it's my go-to choice!

Also worth trying is their Chilaquiles Rojos, which have an authentic taste as well. If you add some chicken or steak on the side, you’ll elevate this dish to the next level! They offer a variety of fresh coffee options served in charming, unique mugs, and it seems like everyone gets a different design. By far, their best breakfast drink is the Café de Olla, a delightful Mexican coffee with a hint of cinnamon! The Chicken and Waffles were superb too—the waffles were delicious, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Just remember to ask for syrup early, as it’s not automatically provided with your meal. Their oatmeal was also very good and comes in a generous portion, so definitely come hungry!

Incredible portion sizes for the price, a family-owned restaurant with wonderful staff. I will definitely be returning!
