Montross Brewery Beer Garden

Great tasting beer. Veteran family run. Great terrace area in front with corn hole, a fire pit and picnic benches. Beautiful covered seats on the back.

Stopped in a nice night for sitting outside enjoy beer and pizza. My friend and I had a flight and we shared a pizza. Only one head on pizza and bagged chips were the only food offerings I noticed. But pizza and beer are one of the best marriages of life! My favorites were The Barber and Trailblazer but enjoyed all six beers. The owner, John, came to our table twice and we enjoyed the conversation. Inside seat is limited, but picnic tables are plentiful outside. I noticed a cornhole game was built out. It was a very pleasant evening and a beautiful environment and friendly staff. If you're in the area, I recommend checking them.

Montross Brewery is a fun brewery with a shared feeling and staff that is beautiful and welcoming. It has a variety of beers to choose, and its tasty homemade NNK ginger-ale for non-beer pants. They have introduced a cool concept of a pop-up bistro that brings guest chefs to their specialties. Tonight when I visited, they offered Tacos and Nachos who were good. Recently expanded, add another beer garden and nature trail in the back of the property, you will have plenty of space to spread out. There is a stage in this garden where you can hear local music. Unscheduled musicians occasionally visit the brewery and play for the fun. This reminded me of my experience in Ireland, where friends come together in their local pub and jam, just for enjoying everything. I highly recommend checking this brewery to check the beer, people, food and what makes the Northern Neck big.

Great beer, always friendly service. Many outdoor seating. Pizzaria next door has really good pizzas.

Fun! Had a chance to talk to the brew master and enjoyed the entire experience. Looks like a great neighborhood brewery/hangout. On top of that, the beer is pretty darn decent.
