Oak Barrel - Monticello

I had the brisket last night. Bad idea when it came out it was a chunk of meat that was actually a piece of roast not brisket covered in onion straws. Horrible tasting. Everything covered in onion straws Why? The French onion soup really lack desire. The drinks were horrible as well. My lobster stuffed mushrooms were delicious though. And our waiter was exceptional. I think his name was Tony.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MEAL IN OUR AREA ! WE HAVE EATEN THERE MANY TIMES WILL BE BACK MANY TIMES !!! STEAKS MUSHROOMS SALMEN CHICKEN DRINKS TO DIE FOR AT LEAST THATS WHAT KATHY SAYS I DON'T DRINK : LOL ! TREMENDOUS SERVICE ALWAYS AND THE CLEANEST FACILITY EVER!!!! A MUST TO BREAK BREAD WITH THE CREW!!!!!

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a positive experience. The service from our waitress was good and the food was tasty. I had two gift cards, each worth $25.00. Unfortunately, I could only locate and use one of them. When it came time to pay our bill, which was almost $200.00, I accidentally handed over the one gift card as if it were worth $50.00. I can only assume it was a mistake on my part. We were unable to avoid paying the full amount, as the restaurant only accepted payment for the actual value of the gift cards. Perhaps only the waitress or manager who processed our payment would have noticed the mix-up. Ultimately, I settled the bill by using both gift cards separately.

This is a hidden shade here in the backyard. we travel hours to eat on our date nights. this has moved our lists and we are here several times. it can be a little on the expensive side, but not really if they really compare it with other steak houses this level. love the atmosphere. can be on the dresser side or shorts and T-shirt they fit into. if they are in the opposite, this is a must stop.

The braut was great. bacon wrapped pork pliers was very tasty, a little dry but tasty. drinking was great. we had Blueberry-Limonade-Martinis and mojitos at our table. all drinks were made to taste great. some of the menu items are expensive. but in the middle of indiana, if they want to eat good and good, they have to pay the price. very much recommend this place. we come back.
