Jan's Beach House Grill - Montgomery

Every time I visit, I have an amazing experience with the food, and I'm from out of state!

Before sitting down, I went to wash my hands, and I mentioned that to her. The decor, featuring flamingos and a beach theme, was stylish and quite tasteful. I had been informed prior to my visit that the restaurant would be closing soon due to a tempting offer made by a car dealership to the owners, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the place bustling when I arrived around 1 PM—it's a great sign that the food must be amazing! I immediately noticed the fantastic prices, which I suspect is one of the restaurant's main attractions! My server, Josh, was exceptional; he greeted me warmly and brought my drink quickly. When I asked him for his recommendations, I decided to go with the grilled fish grouper fingers and the green beans and fried green tomatoes, which were his favorites. My meal arrived in just a few minutes and was exactly as I ordered it. Let me tell you, the grilled fish was perfectly seasoned with just the right touch of lemon pepper. The green beans served in a small dish were amazing, but the highlight was definitely the thick fried green tomatoes—they were absolutely the best I've ever had! They were seasoned and breaded to perfection, and thanks to their thickness, I could really taste the freshness of the tomatoes. The seasoning was just right: flavorful without overpowering, and it held up beautifully when I sliced them in half. All in all, it was a delicious experience, and I only wish I lived closer to enjoy it more often. I learned that they won't be closing until April 2025 due to the demolition company being busy at the moment, which is great news for the regular patrons of Jan's in Montgomery! I'm sure they'll be missed when the time comes!

Get it while you can. I will miss this place after it closes at the end of the year.

This is a great place to go as a family for live entertainment and great food served rather quickly even though you'll take your time there. We love going when we are in town!
