Upstairs - Montclair

On the day before our dinner, he called that they had no more alcohol license. ( Apparently they gave it two or three days before. When we arrived, we said they would close the next day for nine innovations – and the personal had only learned from the plans. as a result many of the menu items were not available, we had to wait more than an hour for our eating, and the atmosphere was strange, with the empty bar that took up a lot from the front room. eating was very good as usual. No one makes bruises spear like them.

Excellent service, eating took a long time. eating is not great. ambiente is good, not pretentious

Upstairs’ food was exceptional as usual. I found another favorite meal tonight, the salmon sandwich. I took note of the mellow music and welcomed low level of noise even sitting near the bar. This was probably because it was a week night and being Valentines Day. Nonetheless it was refreshing. A very good night, indeed.

Waited an 1.5 hours for the food to arrive. It' clear they forgot about our order. Server never acknowledged our long wait or provided us with an update. My husbands food was bought out and just plopped down in front of him with zero explanation my food never arrived. After a long wait, I flagged down our server to ask about whether my food will be coming? My husband had almost finished eating. A couple minutes later , she brought out my cold food with no explanation or apology. This might fly at a cheap noodle bar, but it's totally unacceptable when you're paying $36.00 for a main. I have to say, we were offended by this and left us with a terrible impression. The server never checked in to see how the food was, or offered any compensation/apology for ruining our Valentine's Day dinner. As far as the food was concerned, the cocktails were great but, the fish was underwhelming and my gnocchi was a disgrace. I was served cold, DEEP FRIED, soggy, potato dumplings bags. The lamb ragu it was served with was okay, but lacked flavor. It's a shame, as a Montclair local we were looking for a good place we can frequent where we can get dinner AND a drink but, unfortunately this isn't it!

So upset about this closing! We would go here at least twice a month ! Please let us know if there is a different location.
