La Botte is a charming restaurant with a small garden and area for outdoor dining on a hill overlooking Palermo and the sea, close to Monreale. It's better than any restaurant in Monreale, so if you're going there, it's a good idea to stop at La Botte before or after your tour. .Besides the peaceful location, the food and service are excellent. I ordered from the menu, but there is also a buffet of antipasto and other foods (on Sunday at least the day I was there). I wasn't aware of it when I ordered but when I saw it I was very tempted. I had a vegetable tortino with a ginger sauce, penne rigata with asparagus both excellent , but best of all a dessert they invented called Ali Pascia a semifreddo almond dessert served with a hot bitter chocolate sauce. All this with a nice local wine they recommended.
Went here with group of friends after Monreale Cathedral. Wonderful to sit and look at the view, full of locals. Tasty antipastos and pasta, local wines. Fun atmosphere.
We chose the room for our wedding. we had compliments from all the commensali both for the aesthetics and refinement of the room, and for the banquet organized by the professionalism of the room manager and architect rita t. the restaurant is appreciated for the simplicity of the dishes, its elegance and especially for the goodness of the food. we recommend to all to try it, you will love it. a affectionate greeting to all his staff and cascino chef.
