Mykonos tavern - Monash

I had an incredible experience at this lovely restaurant that serves fantastic, authentic Greek cuisine. The owners provide a warm, family-style atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant make you feel like you're in Mykonos, and the staff is very courteous and friendly. I will definitely be returning for another wonderful experience.

I booked Mykonos Tavern for the first time to celebrate a special birthday with friends and was extremely disappointed. The restaurant was crowded and very loud. We ordered four meals, only to have the waitress come back and recommend that they were not available. The staff should be aware of what is not available and communicate this to customers at the time of ordering. The food was brought out to the table at different times instead of all at once. The quality of the food was poor, with the meat dishes being overly salty. The moussaka I ordered not only came last to the table, but it was also cold. While the staff were friendly, I would not recommend returning to this tavern, as there are many higher quality restaurants in the Oakleigh shopping center.

We came in a dark rainy night for an impromptu feeder. this place is so welcoming and warm. love the ambiente and friendly service and the eating is fabulous. recommend the zucchini chips!

We always enjoy trying new restaurants, but this one was a huge disappointment. We ordered a starter to share, followed by our main courses. However, two starters were mistakenly brought out as main courses along with a salad. Despite our attempts to let the staff know we were not ready, the salad arrived quickly followed by one of the main courses. Our other main course, tiger prawns, was mistakenly served to another table before finally making its way to us. By the time all of our dishes arrived, our starter had already been finished. The food was average at best, with cold tiger prawns and reheated plates. The Greek dessert was the only highlight and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant, huge portions, great food, and beautiful surroundings. 5 stars!!!! FAMILY of 5 out for Mother's Day, We couldn't recommend this restaurant more. Unobtrusive service and lovely decor. It reminded me of all the times I'd been to Mykonos.
