Quick service for the egg and bacon roll and coffee takeaway on the way to work. Newspapers on the tables for you to read while you wait. Always good.

Already a plus: Milano is open and it's Easter Saturday. The queue for take-away was another hint that this might be a good breakfast option, as it is. There are welcoming smiles and efficient service, ten numbered tables within and a few more out the front. The menu seems to cater for most tastes, even mine! And soon after ordering, I have my cappuccino, promptly followed by fruit toast and Bircher muesli.

This is my coffee shop. I visit almost every time I go to Ashburton. New owners try very hard to provide good service and food. It's always pleasant half an hour sipping my big coffee. Food is good, service always pleadant. Thank you.

The ownership changed recently and the decor was improved immensely. The old setup was very dark. he cafe is now much lighter. The staff are attentive and the food good. The cafe is still small and so cramped.
