Le Delizie Dei Nebrodi - Modica

Dinner in this restaurant was a chaotic disaster. The food was quite OK, but the service was so disorganised that it ruined the evening. We each ordered a starter and a main course, with a portion of fries to share with the latter. After a delay in getting a table and ordering my starter arrived, but not my wife’s. Then she was served with the dish of fries! We sent this back and eventually her starter came. But, as soon as we started to eat our main courses came. Not being able to eat both courses at the same time, we sent these back too. When we eventually were ready for our mains it was clear that they had just been set aside and were almost cold. We ate what we could and left quickly.

Unassuming place with a terrace at the quieter end of one of the main roads. The owner is passionate about the food of his local region and cures his own meats. For that reason we chose a meat and cheese platter to share. What cn I say? Everything was superb... All the cured meats, cheeses and olives were beautiful. On top of it all was a fantastic wine selection. I have to say the bottle we had (Carusu from Etna) was exceptional and I wouldn't have begrudged paying twice as much for it. Exceptional value and exceptional food, drink and service. Even had an extra dish of sun dried tomato bruschetta added for free. Well worth seeking out. A highlight of our trip

Fantastic sharing platter of local artisan produced cheeses and meats with a bottle of Sicilian wine for supper makes a perfect end to the day. Only a few tables on the pavement but friendly staff and real food. Thank you Roberto

Prodotti freschi e caratteristici. Taglieri molto abbondanti e grande varietà di salumi e formaggi, accompagnati da un buon rosso siciliano. Prezzo davvero contenuto. Assolutamente consigliato!
