The atmosphere is very relaxing, dim lighting, inviting decor. The menu options are not overwhelming, but there are plenty to choose from. The food is freshly made and although it's made when ordered, they do not take very long to serve. The flavors are present in every bite, drink, or smell. Eating at Han's feels like eating a homemade meal from a place I've never been in. Will definitely be back any time I can. First time in Han's Katsuya, had the miso ramen which us delicious as well as the tomato ramen. Dumplings were really good as well. Service was amazing and very welcoming. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Dumpling, Miso Ramen
For a place that specializes in katsus and dons, I was severely disappointed by the execution of the dishes. Small but cozy interior. There were not a lot of people during lunch. Took a little bit to get our food out but the wait wasn't bad. I liked the variety of donburi and katsu choices on the menu. Appetizers seemed a little expensive. I got karaage for my appetizer and pork katsudon for my main. Karaage wasn't bad. The coating was crispy and the chicken tasted nice. Not the best I've had but perfectly acceptable. My katsudon, on the other hand, was extremely disappointing. While I loved the flavor of the rice mix, the actual katsu was a disappointing, wet, glob of meat. The panko layer was falling off as I picked up the meat and I could see how soaked it looked from the minute I got the dish. The actual pork cutlet wasn't bad but could've been juicier. But the crispy crunch that I expected to hear when I bite into a perfect katsu never happened. Overall, I don't think I can return because there's plenty of other places that you can get crispy katsu at.
