Jw Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Muskoka Ice Caves (dinner)

This was a very funny, unique experience in muskoka that we will remember for years. it was great to have such a special, personal culinary experience. the personal was phenomenal, the environment was magical and the eating was delicious!

What an amazing experience the service was impeccable! it was a special opportunity to ring in the new year! it's expensive, but it's worth it for a special occasion. we have ordered so much food, but we have to take the transfers home. the charcuterie board was meh they do not recommend to make a better one. the fondue was really great, but he has a little smokey in the dome.

The ice cave itself was beautifully decorated, but not well-maintained, with some parts not even properly joined together. Frankly, sitting by the fire pit with a pizza would have been a more enjoyable experience. We also paid extra for ice cream, but what we received was shockingly bad. The floor was not even covered in snow as shown in the pictures, but rather just exposed aluminum. The room appeared unclean, and we were left wondering if they could have paid attention to such details. There was a lack of seating and proper presentation, and we spent only about three minutes in the ice bar. It was nothing like what was advertised, leaving us with a bitter sense of disappointment. Overall, after traveling over 24 hours, we were dissatisfied, especially considering the high prices we paid for such an underwhelming experience. While the hotel itself is amazing and the personal service was exceptional, I wouldn't recommend this "experience" to anyone.

The staff was very kind and professional, making it a truly magical experience. The food was amazing and served promptly. We had the option to choose between the chop house menu and the cave menu, and we opted for the cave menu, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The dome was beautifully decorated and comfortably heated. I highly recommend it for a quick getaway!

The food and presentation felt more suitable for a conference or wedding rather than a fine dining experience. This was not what we anticipated given the amount we paid. Our server seemed inexperienced and visibly nervous, which only added to our disappointment. However, the cave ambiance was lovely. If the food had matched the atmosphere, it could have been a fantastic experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant unless you enjoy wedding-style food.
