Chicken Karaage was better than what we've had anywhere else. We then ordered V Sushi Roll, Mango Secret, Sweet Potato Roll and the Avocado Cucumber Roll. All the rolls were good and filling. Will definitely come back for the next time.
I wanted some sushi after a late night of working. This place was open until midnight, so I decided to give it a shot. I was politely greeted when I entered and the service was exceptional. I ordered the sashimi deluxe and the fish quality and portions exceeded my expectations. This will be my go-to for late night sushi in the future.
I recommend you order sushi, not the dish that I ordered (shrimp tempura with deep fried vegetables). I can never find a good Japanese restaurant in the south bay that knows how to use the right flour to cook shrimp tempura. I have to go to the City, SF, that is. Don't order any tempura. The couple next to me order sushi, and the dish looks very tantalizingly delicious. The place is small so sit at the yellow sushi bar. I rate it 3 (for the restaurant) to be nice but my dish is 2.
Food was actually not bad. I enjoyed there fried California roll and the chicken teriyaki plate. The problem is the wait staff acts like they don't wanna be there. Both times I went this young man with the worst customer service helped us. Acted like we were inconveniencing him (we were the only ones there). Someone like that completely kills it for me. The second time I came in I even brought company, but service was so bad my guest even noticed the shortness and rude attitude. As embarrassing it is bringing someone to a restaurant and getting bad service, it's more embarrassing that this young man has such a terrible attitude. Once I got in the car we were all in agreement that we'll never be back. Better sushi place just down the street. Because of this, I would avoid. The food is okay, but just that. I really wanted to like this place, but the uncomfortable feeling you get from the wait staff is not worth it.
V Sushi was walking distance from the hotel and did not disappoint. Friendly service and quality food. Miso soup, a couple rolls, and a large Sapporo was a perfect dinner for this east coast traveler on the west coast.
