The only place offers the chili black bean sauce to add to the foods. Really delicious and authentic. Free tea also. Very affordable price (13 for each order before tax). The server is friendly, just not really good in speaking English.
Recently tried a Guilin rice noodle spot. The snail soup noodles were a bit too soft and oily, lacking the expected distinct flavors. Spring rolls were okay but a bit greasy. The braised beef in the Guilin noodles wasn't quite authentic, and the soup was a touch too oily. Room for improvement.
Kinda disappointed that I ordered Guilin Rice Noodle with 2 Meat Choices: Beef Brisket and BBQ Pork, but only got some beef tricep and non edible meat in my Uber order. The picture below was taken after I had a few bites of the food and started to realize this is not what I ordered.
Not bad. Had the beef tripe laoyou rice noodle soup. There wasnt that much tripe. Like only a few small stripes but the soup was quite flavorful. The beef brisket and crispy pork rice noodle soup had more meat and the meats were tastier too. However I felt the broth was a little on the plainer side. But my aunt enjoyed it. We paid about $20 a bowl after you include tax and tip which is unfortunately the norms these days for a bowl of noodle soup.
We ordered a few of the rice noodles dishes, they have all the characteristics of Guilin rice noodles, but lacks the intensity of flavors. Particularly the pickle bamboo and beans sour flavors which is needed to kick it up a notch. The ordering system is also a bit complicated. Need streamlining.
