The Thai tea was sweet and paired well with the meal, although the boba was not the best I've had. The siopao had a soft outer bun, but the filling was a bit too soft for my liking. The siu mai, however, was a standout dish - savory, springy, and delicious. The fried chicken was also a hit, satisfying my craving for crispy chicken. I appreciated the option to purchase a single piece of fried chicken a la carte. The beef wonton soup reminded me of Hong Kong beef stew, with a strong flavor and bouncy noodles. However, I found the soup to be a bit overpowering, and there was an excessive amount of cabbage in the bowl, which I did not enjoy. Surprisingly, there was only one wonton in the noodle soup, which was a disappointment. Overall, Chowking offers solid Chinese dishes with a few misses here and there. The chaotic parking lot might be a downside, but it's not the worst I've experienced.
My first time here, I spent over $80 before I saw an online discount that was never mentioned or offer to me by cashier. I was eating and noticed them giving red baloons to all the customers except for me eating on the table. I think that was very rude!
The halo halo was the worse I ever tasted. They just put ube ice cream ana a little leche plan and one spoon of the mixed fruits. I treated my whole and everyone felt the same. I would be embarrassed to promote this. And the ice took at least an hour to melt. It is not shave it was coursely crushed.
Very tasty for an unassuming fast food place. The sauce and garlic was on point in the shrimp, pairs up well with the plain rice. Ambience is meh though.
If you are looking for something quick and light. This is right place. It’s always busy. I ate the noddle Beef Wonton. Was so good. With this cool season. A noodle it is right energy..
