New England Outdoor Center

Had a great time at a wedding here. The property is beautiful as well as the cabins. They have hiking trails, bikes and kayaks for use. The only negative was that there was only 1 cabin on the property with AC and none of the cabins had fans. It got hit at night especially with temperatures in the high 80s during the day.

We dropped in here for lunch and were delightfully pleased! It has been several years since our last visit. The lodge is gorgeous, with a simple dining room overlooking Millinocket Lake. Eating lunch with Mt Katahdin on the other side of the sparkling blue waters was a magnificent treat. The meal was very well done, on par with very, very good restaurants. The staff was attentive and served everything quickly. It is about 15 miles from Millinocket, so be prepared for that amount of travel, but it is well worth it. After lunch, we strolled grounds. Numerous rental cabins are available, a nice waterfront for boating or swimming, and the grounds are well-tended with plantings everywhere, some with flowers and many with vegetables and herbs. I?m sure our next visit will be sooner!

Great location, great view, great atmosphere. Loves the River Divers Restaurant. Food is consistently delicious. Menu is small, but has a beautiful variety, I loved everything I tried. If in any case go back, it cannot wait to dinate on the beautiful outdoor terrace.

Terrible. Completely disorganized. We followed the directions where we met for rafting, and no one told us that the meeting was somewhere else. There was no phone signal so we couldn't call to find out. We finished tracking and found it just to miss the whole trip! We're all 10. In the following week I called out when the photos are posted. No one knew, but he said they would come back to me. No one. I called several times, left messages, by email, no answer or where they are. Finally, I see on the website that the rafting was published the day after our photos, so I called to find out when our only being said they were completely deleted!!! One of the managers said the owner called me and told me what happened and that I was hired, but nobody did... so the owner is a blatant liar. Even the staff admits they are frustrated because of all the disorder with the owners! Do not waste your money from NEOC go locally to Moxie Falls or another rafting business.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. These people were more than great. We took the tour on the pontoon boat and enjoyed our guide and spend time on the water. That's a beautiful place. Then we had car problems and Max tried to help us and he himself YouTubed possible solutions. However, the car was fixed. We went to the restaurant and had a wonderful meal. Crab cake, steak, fries, salad and deserts so delicious. But so good the restaurant was Paige our server was also wonderful. But somehow the owner of the place found out that we were stuck and offered a cabin for the night. Such goodness. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, clean, spacious and so generous of the owner. We thought we were sleeping in our car and not in the beautiful cabin. Thank you, NWOC, for saving us and helping to break a car, not so terrible. All employees were excellent, helpful and well maintained. We will be back!!!!
