Przekaż informację zwrotnąI ordered online via their website, which STILL says that they open at 11:30am, now several days after this debacle took place. I ordered at ca 12:35, to pick up at 1:30pm. At 12:38pm, I receive an order received confirmation email from qmenu, which appears to be the online order software system, where you can follow the progress of your order. As I had not seen any progress after half an hour, I called the restaurant. No answer. I called three times between 12:50-1:10pm. No answer, and no voicemail service listing even opening hours, never mind letting you leave a message. As I live 15 mins away from the restaurant, I left at 1:15pm, hoping to pick up my order at 1:30pm. At 1:26pm, as I 'm almost there, I received two text messages, the first one saying my order was 'CANCELLED ', and the second one saying Can you pick it up at 4:40? . I responded to the latter immediately with Yes . As I was almost there, I decided to stop in at the restaurant anyway, but when I got there, it was CLOSED, even though it says on the website that it 's supposed to be open from 11:30am. The sign on the door said that they open at 3:30pm. Not helpful. So, I cam back at 4:45pm, to pick up my order, and the confused lady behind the counter said that they did not receive my text where I confirmed pick-up at 4:40pm, so they had not cooked my food. Could I wait while they cook it now? No, thank you. If I could, I wouldn 't have ordered online. Management needs to make sure their website is updated, and that the staff are able to handle the online orders properly. Until then, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE.
I love Chinese food and have eaten it all over the world including China. Living many years in Vancouver I was also fortunate to have some great options. Now there is an awesome Chinese restaurant in the Mill Bay Area. I did a large take out order, honestly because it was Tuesday and the fish and chips we’ve ayes was closed. So glad we have the Monkey King another chance. Food was amazing and we will order again for certain. Lovely couple working hard cooking and taking orders churning out all the North American Chinese food favourites. Reasonable prices too. We had fried rice, Singapore vermicelli, sweet and sour pork, honey garlic chicken and wontons. Every dish was incredible. If you tried the Monkey King before and wrote it off give it another try with the new owners. I almost think they should change the name so people know the quality of the food is infinitely better now.
We have ordered many times. Reliable and consistent and no tummy aches. Every time I eat at a Chinese restaurant I get a sick stomach. Not here. Thanks Monkey King!
We placed an order online, got full confirmation but they had no knowledge of it. They didn't make much of an effort to find it even though there was obviously an order number missing in their order sequence. They were in no rush to rectify the error, I had to suggest the solution was probably to place the order over the counter there and then! Food took a very long time to arrive and when we got it home the meat dishes were mainly everything else but the meat. Paid full price which was very expensive for what it was.
I’ve been a customer for years. The food had always been alright. But today! Today they blew my mind! Garlic ribs were the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten ribs in dozens of Chinese restaurants across Canada. My 5 year old ate 3 helpings of chow mein, it was that good. I usually eat here twice a year, I’ll probably go back just for the ribs tomorrow.
