Afternoon Tea At Makeney Hall - Milford

It was a very pleasant experience. The setting is beautiful. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Plenty to eat and tasty.

My mother and I had afternoon tea as a mothers day gift for her. There was no selection of loose teas or variations of coffee. The sandwich fillings were basic and due to my mother requiring gluten free bread she only received 2 slices equating to 4 quarters whereas I received 8 quarters. The scone my mum received was like a biscuit. The tables had no cloths on them and one of the waitresses wasn't very smartly dressed. We thought of visiting Makeney Hall for a change but will definitely be going back to Morley Hayes instead for the same price and better value for money. Sorry!

Service was good, polite and friendly staff. Afternoon tea was average, quite expensive at 17 ppp for what you get. Extortion at 23ppp because it was mothers day and we didn't know about the price hike until we got the bill. Very naughty, we won't be going back. Shame.

We found everything to be good value, fresh and thoroughly enjoyable.
