Przekaż informację zwrotnąLike many places of yore (that ought tell you that I 'm old) the current restaurant on the premises doesn’t hold up to the expectations I hold in my mind from 40 years ago. I just don 't know how restaurateurs can continue in business at an affordable price and maintain quality of product with the costs of doing business. If it isn 't better than I can EASILY cook at home for 25% of the cost....why go? We were there as part of a boating club. I will just add it to my list of places that are best visited in my memories of long ago...
Only one wrinkle... a couple of flies bugged us... In 2024... With of the tech we have... This situation should never be...

We have known the Grainery since it was rebuilt back in 1980s. Thru all its various ownerships/leasers, names,relaunches. Beautiful setting,gorgeous views. Last night was our 2nd Wednesday dinner visit with a group for an early dinner. First our waitress Jean was amazing and patient. We go for the $12.00 burger and 1/2 price wings. The burgers do not disappoint . But the wait for the food at 5:30 in place that was only at that time 1/4-1/3 full is Long. The appetizer of crab dip this time around usually very good was in a word FISHY! Definitely not the same we normally get. The 2 yes 2 nubs of soft pretzel are not enough to scoop the dip. The crackers we requested OMG were old soft n stale in their cellophane packets. The Wings are meaty but again something going on with various rubs n sauces. The Hot Wing versions last time after a stutter start of confusion. bringing a sweet/hot version) Benito’s wet n spicy arrived in the correct orange tangy vinegary tart sauce. This time no matter how we asked the wrong wings were delivered. They said they didn’t t have the orange hot version which is their Benito’s xxx yet we took a box home last time??? Most of us got very cold not warm fries with our plates. Patient Jean got them replaced) My sisters deep fried shrimp was cooked but stone cold not even tepid. The dessert of Apple Crisp came piping hot..Except it was a Blueberry with apple and one of us can not eat Blueberries. The waitress was so feed up by now she send someone from kitchen to explain why Apple was now Blueberry. His explanation was he ran out. But forgot to tell waitstaff. Two of our dining companions were in the restaurant business from owning cooking ordering waitressing. Poor timing in kitchen lack of communication to waitstaff, no advising patrons of food substitutes, having to ask for drink refills as simple as empty water glasses. Insisting the didn’t have something we took home 2 weeks ago and is on menu .The waitress tried and did adjust our bills or at least tried to. Will go back for lunches for now.
We ate downstairs for casual fare. All you can eat crabs were aplenty, steamed perfectly and heavy. Bobby took care of us, he is the man! Great atmosphere on the water and easy access to dock your boat. We drove in this time which is a beautiful ride!
