McDonald's - Mildura

I walked to this McDonald's located a fair distance from the Allseasons Caravan Park just to get an ice cream. Unfortunately, the ice cream machine was not working. I ended up not buying anything as I find their burgers to be of poor quality. I generally do not eat at McDonald's, but I do like their sundaes and occasionally their fries if they are not too greasy.

The restaurant is usually pretty good whenever we visit, although the staff, who are sometimes young and under pressure, often miss things when we use the drive-thru. The fries are great when they are fresh, but we have missed the sweet and sour sauce countless times, even when we remind them. We have purchased a gourmet chicken Caesar salad twice in the past month, and once it was missing cutlery, and recently it was missing the Caesar dressing.

Ive been to this particular McDonald's on a few occasions and have always been greeted cheerfully and the food was good. McDonald's do have a certain standard expected of their staff and this one certainly achieves this. Food has always been good, service friendly and prompt and I wouldnt hesitate going there again when in Mildura.

I rarely visit McDonalds, and when I do, it is usually to have a latte, or a hot chocolate and something sweet to eat. THese are always deicious, especially when the McCafe's overseas are generally nowhere near the standard of our Australian ones. The exception to this is in Milan, Italy.However, last week I had one of their burgers, which looked inviting in the photo. I cannot remember what it was called, but it had some relish in it.It was terrible! The photo was no indication of what I received. The roll did not have the gloss in the photo, and it was laden with sickly sugar. The meat in the burger was tough and dry, as was the bacon. The spinach was limp and tasteless, as was the tomato.All in all an awful burger, and I shall not be repeating this for a long time.

Come to lunch - build a burger my daughter suggested. Post Christmas, busy lunchtime period - mmmmmm. Arrived to find it buzzing- ordered easily of the build yr burger screen and found a table just being vacated. It was immediately cleaned by a older or mature gentleman employee. This was great as it is one thing I hate in takeaway chains- dirty, empty tables. Sitting, waiting for the meal to be delivered to the table... [this was great, - timely, no queuing, orders correct & when they ran out of a particular drink type they up sized to another] I watched this employee- he promptly cleaned all vacated tables immediately, greeted lost looking customers at the door & my daughter mentioned that he is always helpful and polite when ever she visits. {Deserves a payrise maccas] Food arrived - all good, no issues.
