The food at this restaurant is beautifully presented and delicious, with excellent service and a fantastic wine selection. I tried the slow-cooked goat with barley, which was a unique and delicious take on risotto. My friend enjoyed the seafood spaghetti marinara. We also shared a fresh Italian salad with bread, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
Another warm welcome on my business trip. Turned up close to closing time and they were happy to serve me dinner. Once again I had the delicious gnocchi and some yummy Italian Sangiovese. I don't really understand Dylanleayr's comments, particularly with the wine list and the table arrangements. The restaurant is small and intimate but you certainly don't get bumped by anyone! I feel that the wine list is adequate and so are the prices. To get a decent glass of red for $8.50 is great in my opinion. See you next time
The new STAR of Mildura. A fantastic dining experience! Fresh local and seasonal food prepared with passion and love by Matt De Angelo and his team; delicious and generous. Service warm and skilled. Lovely decor and a great wine list. We would highly recommend and can't wait to return.
Dinner at The Province. We broke our journey from Adelaide to Canberra with a couple of days in Mildura.<br/ <br/ We were advised to try The Province by a cafe owner just around the corner who told that we would really enjoy the place if we were looking for honest to goodness Italian food, and that 's just what the place turned out to be.<br/ <br/ My beef carpaccio was excellent, and the pappardelle quail in madeira sauce was right on the mark. Nothing ever beats freshly made pasta!<br/ <br/ The floor staff were attentive without being pushy and when we asked for a bit of a break between entree and main it was handled precisely as we asked. <br/ <br/ The enthusiasm of the young couple who have taken on this venture is obviously contagious all their staff have gotten the 'bug '!<br/ <br/ My only minor criticism is that they need to include a small selection of mid priced reds on their wine list in the $50 $70 range to fatten out the choices but this really is a very minor criticism.<br/ <br/ If you are staying overnight in Mildura and are looking for a great value for money option for dinner you won 't be disappointed.
