Merlot - MILAWA

I highly recommend this restaurant! My husband and I dined there for both dinner and breakfast on Monday, December 18 and 19, 2023. Lydia took great care of us during both meals. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We will definitely be returning!

The location and atmosphere of the venue are excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is delightful, both in taste and presentation.

Although the restaurant is convenient for guests at Lancemore, it adds a minimum of $250 to an already pricey stay. The food was decent, but the service fell short and, at times, was rather rude. We found the prices to be excessive and felt that the staff could be more polished for what they were charging. Rating: 13/20.

The staff were friendly and made the experience great. The food was lovely along with the view and quietness of the restaurant. They made a change at the last min to suits us. It was great and we will certainly visit again.

While some things were nice others lacked flavour and over cooked, entree was one prawn on a plate that was so over cooked that it was chewable like a niece of gum. If a dish this simple in a fine restaurant setting that was meant to be portrayed then that prawn needs to be perfect, especially consider it was only one prawn. The staff service lacked what was needed to simple greet you even on arrival in a manor that was welcoming and was nowhere near the service you would simple get from going to a pub let alone a fine dining restaurant. On a good note the chief did come around and greet the guests at the end of service and ask everyone’s thoughts on the meal.
