Joes Grill - Michigan City

My husband and I had been eager to try this restaurant for quite some time, and we were not disappointed! We started with the fried green beans and the goat cheese fig bacon flatbread, both of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had the gourmet grilled cheese and the Braised Pork Roll. I opted for coleslaw, while he chose potato salad, which turned out to be the better option. He had chips on the side, and I went with the fries, which tasted freshly cut and made. The service was excellent as well! It's a bit disappointing that our kids can't join us since it's a 21-and-over establishment, but we understand that it's more of a bar and grill setting. We'll definitely be back!

How lucky are we to have this place right in our backyard! We went tonight and I had am amazing salmon with curry/caper/lemon sauce over mashed potatoes and fresh spinach. My husband loved his pulled bbq pork, a special on Tuesdays when they've got the smoker going. This is not your average bar-food spot! Terrific tavern-style pizza as well. Friendly, fast service and a fun casual atmosphere. Highly recommend.

On our way we decided to stop and see in the sign was true about their gourmet food. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service was fast and friendly. We had a chef salad and Korean shrimp rice and everything was on point. We also had turkey and rice soup. It was homemade and delicious. We will be coming back.

Great food, friendly service, a total cheers type atmosphere and very inviting and cozy even for the new kid in town. The apps were tasty and the entrees were generous.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! We started with potstickers and flatbread as appetizers. My husband ended up taking his pot roast to go since he was too full by that point. The bartender was really friendly, and in fact, all the staff were welcoming. The atmosphere is laid-back and perfect for casual dining.
