Hokkaido - Michigan City

I absolutely adore this restaurant!!! The service is extremely friendly and quick. The iced green tea is delicious, and I highly suggest trying the crab rangoon as an appetizer. One of my absolute favorite rolls is the butterfly roll - it has a sweet taste that is heavenly! Other favorites of mine include the spider roll, special dragon roll, and Philadelphia roll. Make sure to save room for dessert, the ice cream is fantastic.

Such an amazing place with great food! I have never once had a problem when eating there. The staff has always been kind, and the owner is so sweet! I definitely recommend this place to everyone! The prices are reasonable for that you get.

Every time I go there I am impressed. Never have to wait. Selection is overwhelming. And their eel is one of the best I've ever had! I have pretty high standards for sushi and am so happy to have a high quality restaurant like this in Michigan City

I am very particular about my sushi. I lived in Southern California for over 20 years and ate sushi and sashimi at least once a week. I have found the sushi and sashimi at Hokkaido to be comparable to sushi restaurants in California. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff and sushi chefs are top notch! Thank you so much for the level of excellence that you attain in a landlocked state! What would we do without you?
