If nothing else, come here for the view of the bay of Ancon and to imagine what this place must have been like in the 70’s! The menu itself is eclectic Peruvian, with more focus on the variety and plating than on the quality of the dishes. We tried several deserts, unfortunately all mediocre. Our neighboring table had a shrimp chowder and beef stew and complained about both. The service was awfully slow despite the restaurant being only half full. On the other hand, the location is great (one wonders how the owner got a hold of the place! with a fantastic view over the bay. So don’t hesitate to come here for coffee or cocktails, as long as you’re brave enough to make the drive here! It is about 1-2 hr drive from residential Lima, mostly through very poor neighborhoods and slums.
Solid 4 stars for the food we have. If it had been 40% cheaper, there would have been five stars. Spectacular view, attentive service (for Peru). Fortunately, we took the walk from the beach down to check it, but I don't know if I would make a special trip from Lima Centro to eat here.
The service was super, very clean. Food, drinks and desserts were delicious and it has a fantastic panoramic view of Ancon, very pleasant
Muy buen servicio, excelente comida y muy bella la vista. Lo único por mejorar es el tiempo de espera, si bien es cierto son platos frescos quizá un poco menos de tiempo sería ideal.
