Walk On's Sports Bistreaux Gonzales

The food, cocktails, and service are excellent, all set against a vibrant sports bar atmosphere. It’s a great place to catch the games while enjoying an ice-cold Canebrake, Abita, or another local beer served in a giant glass!

Surf and Turf Burger... Wow! I recently visited a client in the area, and he took me to this spot to catch Monday Night Football. He suggested I try the Surf and Turf Burger, and I’m so glad I did. Picture a thick, homemade-style hamburger patty that's at least three-quarters of an inch thick—so juicy and flavorful—served on a pretzel bun. To top it off, it’s piled high with delicious grilled shrimp and all the fixings. From the first bite to the last, it was an incredible flavor experience and such a fantastic combination! If you ever find yourself at one of these locations, this burger is a must-try. Plus, the beers were nice and cold too!

The food was simply amazing, and the service was incredibly attentive. I had the gourmet grilled cheese, while my husband opted for the duck gumbo. Our friend savored a po' boy sandwich. Even the spinach and artichoke dip was a treat!

I reached out via the provided email address but didn't get a reply. I wanted to share my experience with the alligator bites I ordered for takeout. Usually, I get them from another Walk-On's location, where they're typically abundant and full of flavor. Sadly, this time, the bites were smaller and lacked the usual spice. I won’t be coming back. The staff was friendly, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars.

I've dined at Walk-Ons about four or five times, and it consistently proves to be a dependable choice for a quick and casual meal. During my latest visit, I had an early dinner with my niece. We were seated right away, and our server was outstanding. We kicked off our meal with the Waffle Cheese Fries, which were incredibly tasty! The portion was generous, and both of us were nearly full after finishing them. For my main dish, I chose something lighter—the Redfish Tacos. The redfish was cooked perfectly, and the tacos came with a side of queso and chips. My niece absolutely loved the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese! We'll definitely be returning!
