You have to visit Gambino’s! It’s such a hidden gem! Just stepping into this bakery instantly brightened my day. The aroma alone is enough to put a smile on your face. Every treat tasted like a little piece of heaven. Each confection was delicious, and we didn’t spend a fortune! Everything is not only tasty but also very affordably priced.

Fast forward to June 16, 2023, I called to order a Lemon Meringue Pie for Tuesday, June 20, 2023, only to be told that they only bake these pies on weekends. When I asked if I could order the pie to be made for pickup on Tuesday, the employee flatly said no. It’s disappointing to see how this bakery has changed. I’ve called twice this year to order items that are listed on their website, only to be dismissed each time. We used to order all our birthday cakes from here for our team of over 20 employees, but those days are gone. I will never order from here again, and I recommend others consider other options too, especially since it seems you can't get everything advertised on their website, and it appears they only make cakes on weekends. There are many other bakeries in the city that would love our business!

My husband and I absolutely adored our wedding cake from Gambino's Bakery! It not only tasted incredible, but it also looked stunning! We chose a traditional almond cake filled with raspberry and covered in vanilla buttercream. We received countless compliments on the flavor! Working with Gambino's to bring our vision to life was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend this bakery to anyone in search of a wedding cake!

Our first King’s Cake! Ordered through Goldbelly! From Gambino 's Bakery! This bakery has been a New Orleans landmark since 1949. Their King Cake recipes date back to the 1920s. So excited when the box was delivered! We had to decorate the King’s Cake with the traditional colors: yellow, green and purple. We enjoyed it! And found the the customary gold baby figure in the last piece of the cake! Tradition dictates that finding the baby in your cake symbolizes luck and prosperity, and the finder becomes the king or queen of the evening!

I bought a king cake from Walmart for my students; it brought nostalgic memories of getting a king cake from an uptown neighborhood Gambino’s in my youth. My students have been trying various king cakes each week since King’s Day. This was the first time they came back for seconds and commented on how good it was. I was most excited to find a brown baby inside and my students commented that there should be brown babies in the more king cakes. Thank you for making delicious cakes and bringing more diversity to our collection of king cake white babies.
