Carreta's Grill - Metairie

I recently picked up 3 dinners for myself and my Parents. Carreta's has it going on with the takeout. I REALLY appreciate that they put the taco meat in a separate container so the shell doesn't get soggy. That's over and above!!! We got 1 enchilada dinner and 2 Carreta's specials. My Mom recommended that I get the special with her and I'm glad I did. It had a taco seperate meat) an enchilada , a burrito and a tostada. It's always hot and super fresh whenever I dine inside and this was no exception. Always good food here!!! The iced tea is AWESOME!!

Great waiters and amazing Mexican food. I would recommend the cheese dip and the quesadillas. One of the dishes called the fajita came out sizzling while being served. Also there are different kinds like shrimp, steak, and chicken.

I went in, got seated right away and had service right when I sat down. The waitress was friendly! I ordered the chorizo cheese dip, oh my, was this delicious! Came with some salsa and tortillas! Then I had the four taco, which was delicious too! Had the Mango margarita, really 2!!! Get this! Then for dessert, I had the best churros ever! Whoa! I am visiting, but if I am back here, I would definitely come here to eat!

Did not enjoy the steak tacos. Poorly put together and tortillas broke apart and we're room temperature.

Easily the best Mexican food in Slidell... Best service and ambiance too 10/10 Don't go to places like El Paso
