Harvest Grill - Meridian

I arrived at the restaurant at 12:15 and it was crowded. It took around 10 minutes for a host to acknowledge me and seat me. A friendly waitress greeted me and I quickly placed my order as I knew what I wanted. I ordered the grilled Caesar salad with chicken and sweet potatoes. The food took about 20-25 minutes to be served. The salad was large and tasty, with lots of cheese, although it was slightly dry. The sweet potato fries were delicious!

We had to wait for a while before a server came to take our drink orders after we had seated ourselves. The appetizers were delicious, but unfortunately, the main dishes were not up to par. My partner's fish dish was dry and small, while my trout was overcooked and overly spiced. The next day, I had a perfect meal at Russells. I brought up my dissatisfaction with the trout to two different staff members, but no action was taken to rectify the situation. The only positive aspect of the restaurant was Craig, who delivered the food from the kitchen. If he were to leave or the restaurant were to close, I wouldn't be surprised given the poor management.

Delicious food. We got the Burger, the buffalo wings, the shrimp and smoked pork belly, the kids pepperoni pizza, and the bread pudding. The only issue was the pork belly plate was a very small portion size. Everything else was more for your money. The bread pudding was almost addictive. Fried and served with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. Overall, definitely delicious, loved the price and the service was really good too.

I have noticed this restaurant for a while and had always been curious about it. I went on a Thursday evening and the hostess seated me right away. She was very friendly. A young lady came by and told me she would be my server. She was going up the stairs that were near me with a large tray of drinks. She said she had a large group upstairs and said it might be a few minutes before she got to me. I had already decided on my order but tried to wait patiently. I waited and waited. I saw several servers standing around. I’m not sure what their system for this was but it wasn’t a good one. After quite a while a young man did come over and asked me if I had been greeted. I told him my server was upstairs serving a party. I figured since she had drinks, she was probably now taking orders. Thankfully he offered to take my order. I ordered fish and chips. (Fries) My server eventually came down and I told her my order had been taken. Throughout the rest of the time I was there , they both served me as well as a couple of others. The food was disappointing. The fish was so greasy that I don’t think it had been drained much if at all. There were tons of fries. I believe they were hand cut. There were pretty good. Overall I would have to say the food was disappointing and the service needs to be more organized. I do think this restaurant has the potential to be nice. It had a good atmosphere and was in a great location. But honestly, I wouldn’t return.

I went here because they had a dog friendly patio. It’s an extremely small patio and although it allowed my dog to be there, no one brought my dog water or anything I’m used to at other dog friendly restaurants. For that matter, no one brought me water either! The waitress, who either doesn’t like dogs or doesn’t like my corgi, did not know much about beer and neither did the bartender who tried to help her. I told her anything between a Sam Adams and Corona Light would be fine and she sent out a sample that tasted like grapefruit juice. However, the **** Mary I ordered instead was delightful and I recommend it. I had the Chicken Angelina since it had all my favorites in it. I’ve had more tender chicken at fast food restaurants! The general ambiance was good and next time I’m in Meridian I’ll try it again since other reviews indicate they do a better job with some of their other menu items.
