Rifugio Sattlerhutte - Meltina

The hut is in a nice location along the path that leads to the stone cairns. The food is good and the prices are absolutely correct. The manager must have some problems interacting with people, I perceived a sort of contempt from his attitude and I can't understand what the motivation is since we don't know each other. I think that if he doesn't want to have people coming to eat at his place he would do well to close the hut to the public or if, as someone says, the problem is that they speak Italian (strange in Italy right? he could put up a sign saying only people are accepted who speak German. For those who write that when you go to eat in a mountain hut you have to accept certain behaviors, I think that those who work with the public must not be psychoanalyzed by the customer to understand that deep down there is something good even in these grumpy personalities.

We absolutely cannot understand the bad reviews regarding the innkeeper. The landlord is very nice and always has a funny saying on his lips, which makes the stay particularly pleasant. The food is really excellent and the climb to the hut is definitely worth it. At the end we were treated to a schnapps, which was the perfect end to a successful day. We have been coming here for years and will do so again and again. Highly Recommended!

I piatti sono davvero eccezionali. Il piccolo parco giochi per bambini è fantastico. L'unico aspetto da migliorare potrebbe essere il rapporto con i clienti.

Posto bellissimo, ma la scortesia del proprietario è davvero imbarazzante. Siamo stati trattati con arroganza e sufficienza. Abbiamo notato che è molto infastidito dai cani, anche se sono tenuti al guinzaglio. Se per lui è un problema, sarebbe meglio scrivere sul cancello d'entrata "vietato ai cani" invece di "cani al guinzaglio", così ci si regola di conseguenza. Abbiamo avuto anche l'impressione che fosse infastidito dal fatto che fossimo italiani. Di certo non torneremo mai più. Un voto, perché non si può mettere di meno.

Today, July 14th, 2024, we drove 3 hours from Mölden to the Sattler Hut and found the ambience of the hut top. Service top and very fast. The meal, potatoes with bacon, was top in terms of taste and quantity with the price of 12 euros. Only to recommend.
