Amami - Mellieha Bay

The menu on the first look is not vegan friendly. the personal is so to be hospitable and to conceive! we got too much food. everything was prepared perfectly and full of taste. we had avocado and aubergine uromaki (not vegan in the menu, they did it for us), spicy edamame bohnen, Vietnamese spring rolls and katsu curry (with tofu stan).

Fantastic eating and looking at amami. we had veg early roll (so crispy and amazing) and then we had rice paper rolls, tofu tempura, spiced veg and cashews. the waitress was super helpful and checked with the cook that all our choices were vegan - would definitely return!

On the first look it did not look as if they were very vegan friendly (no separate menu, vegan and veggie options not clearly marked etc). but the staff was quick and confident to show vegan, and customizable dishes. when served tired of risotto polenta without protein this is the place for them. my favorite order was: aubergine and avo uramaki without the cream cheese, tofu tempura (swappte the sauce) and edamame. super delicious.

I asked to be seated outdoors but the area was instead all closed off , refusing also to open windows to ventilate the packed area . Don’t think this is fair in the current circumstances? I found it too risky and had to leave and have lunch elsewhere.
