Maldonado Bistro - Victoria

Beautiful atmosphere, overall a good place to eat, but they only had a vegan option. The Friicassee was beautiful, but very much a dish full of vegetables, although well prepared.

Just a few vegetarian options, including two vegans. Grilled cactus at the time that was great. Service very nice and quick to find a table for us although we had no reservations. Large selection of wines. Experience closer to the higher restaurant. Despite the lack of many options, great experience overall. Menu seems to change and was different from that on the website. Nice bistro got a side street down. The staff was great, loved the atmosphere and the good was delicious. It is a small menu for all so just a vegan starter and main option. No desert, they might have adapted something if I had asked.

We struggled to find everywhere to eat in Gozo, which offers good vegan options. With many places specializing in seafood or offering a pizza without cheese, we were delighted to try this place recommended by our hotel reception. I understand that the receptionist has spoken to a local vegetarian friend who has provided us with a list. The bistro has a few dining rooms on the ground floor and we understand that wine tasting and taste menus are offered in the upper floor. The waiting staff seemed to take care of the restaurant and it was clean and comfortable inside. We were presented with a homemade bread that was delicious a heavy rye and core-based bread served with some olive grove. Then I had the falafal that were made home again, followed by gluten-free tomato base pasta. There are vegan sorbet to follow when you have rooms! We had a bottle of Maltese wine we liked was also vegan. Family of 4 3 appetizers, 4 nets, a few desserts, wine and water came to just over 100 euros You this place, you will not be disappointed.
