Xeom - Melbourne

Walking up and down smith street my new Favourite food street :D!! My cousin loves Asian seeing as its not to much of that in country outback Sweden. Asains hard cause it 's so many place to choose from... we stopped outside Xeom cause the table carts at the front window looked super cool : !! Menu looked good but what made me instantly choose this place was that there was a Photo of Heston Marc Blumenthal with the owners :D 'Heston knows Beston '!! was busy enough for a tuesday night.. know one was sitting at the table carts.. priorities lol!! Had the high chairs which i love when having a big feed : Ordered the soft shell crab rice paper spring rolls first up... all i can say is that the crunchy delicous taste made my night right there and then : !! Also had the beef Betal leaf skewers which reminded me of Dolmades and were really good. They had a shredded duck curry with Roti bread on special which my mouth is watering just thinking about it, was fantastically good but like always with delicous great tasting meals the portion always feels to little lol!! For mains i got the Wok rice noodle stir fried chicken, Pho meat ball Chicken on tomato rice. Wanted a good mix of meals, favourite would of been split with the noidle tomato rice haha we shared ate the food like we had a time limit to eat it in lol!! P.S. the Pho was great aswell but its great where ever you go, I 've never had bad Pho ever touch wood :D!! We had plenty of Singha 's Tigers through out : !! This was definately not just any Vietnamese Restaurant haha: !! Follow Heston or any of the other chef Greats they not just good at cooking they good at finding great places to eat : !!

Vietnamese salad with vermicelli noodles and chicken. Best Vietnamese food I've had outside Vietnam. Friendly service too.

My friend and I ordered a combination fried rice, chicken spring rolls, chicken and prawn wontons, chicken pork san Choi bao, lemongrass pork banh mi, lemongrass chicken rice paper roll, and a smoked duck rice paper roll. The food arrived promptly and the service was excellent. My favorite dishes were the chicken spring rolls and the san Choi bao. The spring rolls were some of the best I've ever had. I had never tried the san Choi bao before, but it was delicious. Overall, everything we tried was delicious, but those two dishes really stood out. If you're looking for a Vietnamese feast, I would highly recommend this place.

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious, all at a great price!
