The Courthouse Hotel - Melbourne

Great service. Menu includes tapas, pub grub and restaurant meals. Good prices and lovely food. Very nice ambience. Can be seated in restaurant or bar area....

The Courthouse is dodgy enough that I actually feel uncomfortable going inAnd I'm not what you'd call a well-at-heel fancy-man.

Dropped in here as a family for dinner. So very over priced. They then charge $3 for "gravy" that the serve was so small and pathetic the gravy may have covered 3 chips. The gravy tasted great, but Really disappointed with the serving size of it. ...and that we have to pay for it !!! Good food, enjoyed the meal but won't bother returning. No bread or anything served while waiting. Meh....too many options in Melbourne, so go elsewhere.

Dined here with a business group of 30 in an eclectically !! decorated dining room. Asked politely to omit an ingredient from the meal and was promptly told "no changes permitted". Entrée of tapas style food was little more than an assorted fry up and much was left uneaten. Main of risotto was slightly better. Bar staff were chatty and drinks menu was expansive. Shame then to be served flat Ginger ale out of a half empty bottle. Not rushing back.

Recently booked the function space upstairs for an event and i cannot fault this pub. The staff were all so friendly and inviting. The finger food and drinks are great and well priced. Will definitely be returning with the family for a drink and some lunch or dinner soon! Thanks to all at the Court House Hotel!
