The steak came out cooked perfectly. the ribs were also very well done, and the prawns ok as they are just battered prawns. There was ample veg and chips along with onion rings and a sticky BBQ sauce. The serving was large and no complaints to the quantity at all. The down side was that it did take about 15mins to actually get served after being seated and the restaurant was only about 25% full. I would be concerned at the service levels if it was a busy night.
Visited early Saturday evening and there were no queues yet. Prompt, efficient and friendly service, especially as we moved tables twice and the food was exactly what we expected. It's not fine dining, but perfect for meat lovers.
We dined here with our children, a table was not available when we arrived, we where given a buzzer and went to the bar, our drinks where only just ordered when we where buzzed for a table. Meals are reasonably priced and service very quick.
A family trip on a busy Saturday night turned poor because of the service. Needed a table for 4 and understood that we hadn't booked so it could have been a wait. We were promised a table after 30 minutes and we were to wait at the bar. We went to the bar and sat down at 6:20, there weren't enough staff on to serve us straight away and we had to wait because they had a large order to fill. We were finally served at 6:35 and two of the girls wanted cocktails, but because we were served after 6:30, this is the cut-off time for the 2 for $15 cocktails, very frustrating to be is in the situation. We then told them that we had been sitting there before 6:30, and this quite rude gentlemen named John told us (in a nasty and straightforward manner) "these cocktails are still the cheapest in the city, you should be happy with that"We got seated at 6:50 which was great. It took us a longish time to get served, we actually had to ask the person doing the seating arrangements about how do we order. It took us then over an hour to get our food, which was quite disturbing. The food however was a bright spark in the night. The chicken burger bun was stale however the rest of the food such as the garlic bread, buffalo wings, chips and steaks were delicious. We then once again had to flag down the waitress to pay and also to order some takeaway dessert. The brownie for dessert is always a winner!Overall a disappointing experience with TGI Fridays, but would go back again to give it another chance. Maybe the one in Adelaide is better.
I've been to TGIF's a couple of times now, always an average experience. If we go when it's busy we are told to sit at the bar and take a drink, once table is ready get buzzed to sit down. The last time I was there 2 weeks ago we waited 30min for a table, 25min to be served and had to call out to the waiter to get us cutlery as he's rushed past about 5 times without listening to us the first few times we'd said excuse me! Food, service price are all under average/average, the only thing that exceeds is their cocktails. Most likely won't return, too many disappointing experiences.
