I see that the reviews for this place are pretty old. I have been to this restaurant a few times much more recently and feel that the reviews need a bit of a shake up. While I agree that the food is nothing really fabulous and there are better places, for the money and funky atmosphere I kind of like this place. The decor is pretty basic there are specials on colored paper stapled to the wall, the tables and chairs are pretty makeshift and there is a common tea barrel there for self serve tea. Reminds me of some of the local street joints I have visited in Hong Kong. The patrons are mostly Asian although there are a handful of non Asian regulars who seem to frequent this place. The menu is pretty extensive, if not always easy to read and they offer a fair number of pretty decent noodle dishes. I usually go for something spicy like shrimp or chicken but there are lots of things to choose from. There are usually some really cheap specials that are worthwhile taking a look at. The place only takes cash and if you ask for a receipt they give you a plain scrap of paper with the dishes in chinese and a total. My accounting department loves me for this but I have to say for a cheap, funky place to eat this noodle house does the trick for me. While it 's not too hard to find, you do have to look down the narrow alley to find it (go just past Gaylords Indian restaurant and it 's on the left). You might take a peek at the surroundings using google maps they have conveniently mapped the entire alleyway.
Tasty dumplings! Food always taste fresh, pan fried pork dumplings are soo good!
Authentic food but very small space to sit in. Everyone walking past seems to be up your face but it’s a very good crowd and serves very delicious dishes
This place is always busy and there was a wait line. However the line moves fast and didn’t have to wait long for a table. Food was so delicious, we ordered so many dumplings, our favorites is Shanghai xiaolongbao and pan fried pork buns.
