I absolutely love this charming restaurant in the CBD. After experimenting with various eateries for the past 3 years, I finally stumbled upon this gem and it instantly became my go-to spot! The sushi, hamburgers, chicken katsu curry - everything on the menu is not only delicious but also reasonably priced.
These little treats are fantastic, wrapped in seaweed and packed with tasty fillings. I've had different kinds in the past, but the ones from Rolling Nori are some of the best I've ever had. The seaweed was high quality and the filling was delicious. One great thing about these triangles compared to traditional sushi is that they are wrapped in plastic, so they are easy to eat without making a mess. Delicious! This place is definitely worth a visit. Plus, the Choya is only $4 a bottle - what a deal! LOL.
Fresh sushi and sashimi, a perfect place for when you need to grab food on the go or to eat in for udon/curry. The poke bowl had many elements to it, a healthy alternative and super filling. Affordable, delicious and aesthetically pleasing Japanese food
After reading the reviews for Rolling Nori, I must concur with the masses. Rolling Nori does comfort Japanese food that's tasty, filling and affordable.<br/ <br/ The chicken katsu curry don hit the spot. Not only was the chicken katsu lightly crumbed and tender, the curry sauce was silky smooth, albeit a bit under seasoned. Instead of white rice, black rice gave me clean eating vibes. I also really enjoyed the addition of the soft boiled egg, and pine nuts to give the dish texture.<br/ <br/ The spicy pork spaghetti was no less delicious, but don't be fooled by the name it was definitely not spicy at all. The rich savoury and slightly sweet sauce was undeniably flavoursome. Moist chunks of pork and fresh veggies round up this dish, and that yummy soft boiled egg makes an appearance once more.<br/ <br/ Don't expect traditional Japanese, Rolling Nori is more akin to Japanese fast food and that's all we need sometimes.
