Riva St. Kilda - Melbourne

Cracker Melbourne day, sun was shining as we headed out for lunch by the bay. Had been to Riva a couple of times so was looking forward to it. Phoned and booked ahead.As it was such a beautiful day we wanted to sit on the deck. Big mistake. We were virtually shown the door to the deck where we sat with 1 laminated menu and no sign of anyone for fifteen minutes.We went inside to order - a heads up that there is no service on the deck would have been nice!Drinks came and we're plonked down. Food arrived before plates and cutlery. Food quality, taste and presentation left a lot to be desired.With so many great venues in Melbourne where you DO get service if you want to be outside, we won't be coming back here.Waste of a great location.

Great food, wine with stunning views. All round great experience. Romantic and cosy. Easy parking. Highly recommend.

Great lunch on deck overlooking the marina. Both food and service were excellent with great views. Highly recommended.

Went there with family over easter and had the calamari main and someone else ordered the porterhouse. Kids well catered for. Generous servings, although service a bit slow. Nice setting as you can sit overlooking the marina or bay.

Went there with my family. All of us had a fantastic evening - food was exceptional, views stunning, ambience perfect. Only disappointment was the slow service. Will definitely go back.
