Omah's Malaysian Cuisine - Melbourne

We ordered chili crab weighing 0.95kg, beef rendang, and kangkung with belacan at this restaurant. The taste of the chili crab sauce was decent, about 75% there, which is not bad for Melbourne. However, the crab we received had watery, thin meat, making it feel hollow. Since we had come specifically for the crab, we were quite disappointed. The beef rendang was a bit too sweet for my liking, but the meat was incredibly tender. The staff were nice enough to offer us a free omelette that came with the crab, as well as a discount for the watery crab. Overall, it was still an above-average Malaysian meal. If the crab meat had been firmer, the experience would have been outstanding. Keep up the good work, Omah!

This is my second time coming to this place this week because I purchased a groupon deal for four persons . We specially like their pork hock under the great groupon deal as well as their chilli crab and the unforgettable signature SALTED EGG CRAB(highly recommended! that I first tried at Omahs restaurant,so tasty and fulfilling!.Othet than that, the surrounding is cosy,clean and classy, it is a great place for you to chit chat and gathering with friends. Besides, the staffs made us feel welcome by providing us well timed service. Will definitely be dining here again!

Fantastic crustaceans enjoyed by 5 gals eating with all 10 hands!Fragrant, fresh and delicious as we tried crab cooked several ways.Be sure to allow yourselves time to find car parking space if you want to get to your booking on time.

Chili crab was yummy. You can choose different sizes of the crabs. 700g, 800g,1500g. Coconut Prawns also very good. Crabs can choose different flavours too, but $96/kg is a bit too expensive.

This restaurant serves the best chili crabs. The salted egg crabs could use more sauce. This was my second visit, this time for my girlfriend's birthday dinner. The chili crabs were better than most I've had in Singapore, but the salted egg crabs need more sauce. They should also provide fried buns for dipping into the sauce. Once these issues are fixed, I would give a higher rating. Looking forward to the improvements!
