The food is delicious and reasonably priced, catering to customers from various countries, races, and religions. The simplicity of this place is definitely a key factor to its success. I wish the team all the best and hope to see them expand with more locations across Australia.
The thaali all you can eat for $7.50 is definitely worth it. I really enjoyed the lentil curry and roti bread. The staff are friendly. I will return when in the city and hungry. Great vegan meal.
No Oms and ahs, it’s been a hectic week and that calls for some food delivery! I’ve recently moved houses and have yet to get some appliances so that means eating out (for better or worse) for the next little while. It also meant my first ever experience at Om Vegetarian. It’s been one of the cheap dingy eateries which never really appealed to me. I walked past it a lot. However in the delivery format, it gave us some good vegetarian options and some very good size serves considering the price.
I chose the Thaali Meal, which is now $7.50 the restaurant is very simple but their dishes definitely delivers! I got two super delicious vegetable curries, rice and naan. The portion I would say is pretty big aka i couldn't even finish it and i am a BIG eater!! Definitely recommended.
I give this restaurant a rating of 4.0 stars. Last Wednesday, January 9th, I picked up a thali for dinner from here after the nearby Thai restaurant had sold out of its specials. I ordered the $7.50 lunch special which included a large serving of basmati rice, a potato green bean curry (though the potatoes were quite salty), a tasty chickpea curry, and a burnt butter naan that was too stiff to soak up the gravy. Despite some flaws, the food was still good value, especially if dining in and getting seconds. The service was decent and the best part was the leak-proof TA container.
