Mock Turtle Degraves - Melbourne

Had breakfast here recently and really enjoyed the varied take on the traditional cafe breakfast. We had the Mockturtle special which was a generous serving topped with perfect poached eggs. Interesting range if freshly squeezed juices and excellent coffee. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

Delicious coffee and food, and a super friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend popping in for a bite or an afternoon treat.

Seeking a late all day breakfast in the laneways of Melbourne is harder than you think as most change over to the lunch menu around noon, and we were just a little later than that.The Mock Turtle saved the day!Not the largest portions, although sufficient (possible a little stingy with the thin cut crispy bacon!) but the quality ingredients, excellent service and decent coffee were a real pleasure.We sat inside on a long bench which the kitchen crew use on its kitchen side and watching their team at work was a lesson in teamwork in a confined space. I was nearest to the dishwasher's space (it was better placed than it sounds) and congrats to the young woman there who worked away quietly and diligently.Never thought I would end up reviewing the dish washer!

Situated in a busy eatery lane this smart eatery has yummy food and polite efficient service. Our breakfast was delightful. Well Done.

Had breakfast at Mock Turtle two days in a row because it was too good the first time, we had to revisit!! Scrumptious food, fantastic staff, I'll definitely be back!!
