Mamma Vittoria - Melbourne

I've been aiming to dine here for several years purely because visibly it showed a strong connection to Italian décor and presentation. Napkins of crisp white linen elegance and culture seemed to be just right. It just has an air about the history of itself and the menu seemed to be traditional yet contemporary. My friend and I had spaghetti marina which was to die for. It was a short meal because it was late in the evening but on a hot night the wine went lovely with the food. The bread was extremely nice. I will go back to this restaurant to experience the menu again and to stay longer it is relaxing to sit and enjoy a meal where the service is very friendly and professional.

Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious traditional food (pasta dishes and pizzas). A meal here is like a parenthesis in Italy. Warmly recommended.

Came here mid week after a meeting nearby nice warm spot by the open fire delicious fresh bread straight out of the oven. Great wine list reasonably priced had two pizzas and a starter. Nice home cooked Italian worth a visit if you are nearby. Full of locals and families.

We had a work end of year event at Mamma Vittoria and it was disappointing for: dry arancini with no filling (ie cheap deep fried rice balls) basic pizza slices just ok meatballs unappetising thigh meat sate sticks The food just wasn't up to scratch and based on my experience I would pick somewhere else for a meal. The event was held upstairs and it was a long time standing on a hard floor with very little seating available.
