Not really food courtie at all. The staff are efficient if not actually friendly. My food, arrived quickly, was fresh, tasty (hello melted cheese) and felt kinda health. (Well comparatively). My final word is Yum!
Although I 've been to both of them, I 'll review this one as it was the first I went to. It 's great value for the money; pretty easy to choose and there are always further options for next time dining. Well priced meals on a solid concept, great flavours too. Two things at the chapel street location that have let it down; One- my meal card with SIX stamps out of ten to a free meal was lost by the server- so that is pretty much a grand disappointment, and made for a most souring experience. Thanks guys, just loose my card in which i had near $70+ of loyalty on. Two- the nachos. I 'm sorry guys, but this is Australia! We have bastardised nachos here! Nachos have MELTED CHEESE THAT IS COOKED IN A OVEN!!! As opposed to just slopping on some toppings that are still cold, and cold grated cheese- seriously, not impressed at all! Again- MELTED CHEESE, and BAKED IN AN OVEN!!!!!! I know I repeated myself, but i felt it was worth pointing out. Also- cheese sauce? Mega gross! I 'll save that for when i 'm 130 kilos overweight. Well, I 've never had nachos this way so there 's a first time for everything. I 've gone with three stars because prior to this it has proven very tasty, easy, and satisfying, and I haven 't tried the entire menu, but i wish to.
I'm not a big fan of this restaurant, but sometimes, when I'm really hungover and need a burrito, I'll go to Mad Mex. The burritos here aren't amazing with bland white rice, grated cheddar cheese, and overly salty meat. However, I do enjoy the guacamole and salsa fresca, and the small burrito is reasonably priced at 8 dollars. It's a good option for a budget-friendly lunch at Melbourne Central, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here unless I was really craving a burrito. It happens sometimes.
This place rocks!!! If you're looking for cheap, good quality and fast food this place has it all. Have been here a few times and the service is always very good.
Ian does an average job at making mini tacos at this restaurant. While they may not be anything special, they are the best I have found in Australia when it comes to Mexican food. However, I do not appreciate the additional charge for guacamole and other add-ons. It seems excessive to pay extra for just a small slice of guacamole or a sauce packet. The overall cost of a meal here can add up quickly, so be cautious of how many add-ons you choose. Personally, I prefer to make my own tacos at home using an Old El Paso Taco kit from Woolworths and fresh ingredients like onion, capsicum, tomato, chili, and coriander. Adding cheese and shredded meat of choice can make for a delicious homemade meal without breaking the bank.
