La Porchetta - Melbourne

I am thrilled to have discovered this restaurant. Every dish I have tried has been excellent. The servings are large, the flavors are delicious, and the ambiance is welcoming and laid-back.

Ordered the popcorn prawns from the specials menu which was nice. However the Marinara pizza had frozen tiny prawns and mussels which had no flavour, barely any sauce base. Also ordered a vegan dish, waitstaff bought out wrong pasta which was rectified after a couple of bites. Staff were friendly and the house red wine was good.

Think of Dominos and Pizza Hut having a baby and La Porchetta is what you get. Some porking was def going on in order to spawn a pizza joint like this. Awful. I've seen children make better dough than this. Pass time food if you're starving but that's about it.

I'm a local and whenever there is a special occasion I come here to eat. They have authentic Italian food and especially the T-Bone is great.

Frozen pizza and pre-prepared pasta. The pasta seemed a tomato soup. Prepared in 5 minutes. The pizza took a bit longer: about 8minutes, but it was just horrible. frozen dow and the ham was just bad. The food was fast, and I left furious.
