Kanteen - Melbourne

Great place for breakfast lunch or coffee. Their muffins are to die for and it's a great spot by the Yarra that we've used as a halfway point for our biking adventures. Plenty of bike parking, friendly staff and great coffee. Recommended as a stop over when you do the capital city trail!!

I have been going to this local icon since it brilliantly opened a very casual eatery.It encouraged outside life next to the Yarra & was pet friendly.I meet my old friends from other places as it was convenient & tasty.It has always had a curry of the day, which was tasty.Today it was mush with no taste & cold.I was watching the kitchen where many dozen eggs were poached around 3 pm but for …??Nope moving on ……. So sad

Well we had perfect Melbourne weather so that made the outdoor seating idyllic.This place is nice and chilled, friendly and attentive staff who try and accomodate all requests. Coffee was on point as was the food.

This is a most relaxed setting and the restaurant has become very popular so that parking here can be an issue. Bikers and dog walkers love it too for a quick coffee. Sitting next o the river on a warm sunny day is perfect. Food took a while to come once ordered but both it and the coffee were fine without being especially memorable. But the place has many regulars including my friend who eats here most days!

I had brunch here on a sunny day - the location is super nice. Lots of cyclists and walkers so a relaxed vibe. The food and drinks came quite promptly and were nice, without being spectacular. Staff were pleasant. I would definitely come back for a casual coffee and snack.
