Izakaya Hachibeh - Melbourne

Good choice of food, especially vegetarian. Unfortunately waitress forgot to put an order that was requested, hence my husbands favourite dish not arrive. We were due to go the the cinema so could not wait.

This place is a very decent izakaya-style japanese restaurant. The prices of their food and beverages are in the cheaper range.

First, a correction is in order for the restaurant name, please — it is IZAKAYA Hachibeh, not ZAKAYA Hachibeh! Please amend TripAdvisor. It is almost always very good here. It is authentic and reasonably priced. Some dishes occasionally vary in quantity and quality. Accordingly, I now discipline myself to stick to these straightforward, but nevertheless outstanding dishes: the combination deluxe sushi and sashimi and of course their exquisite yaki soba (shaved beef with soba noodles). For a quick, comforting experience, the many grilled (yaki) options are more than decent accompaniments to the above or in their own right.

Amazingly accommodating friendly staff. Such yummy food. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for group bookings we were very well looked after. Thanks Kuuraku!!

For this place, you are obviously paying for the ambiance and quality of the food. A great place for lunch and gatherings. For the bigger eaters, you will probably need to order more skewers.
